Arunachal Rains update: bridge washed away in Lumla, effected Hydel stations

Under Lumla Sub-division, Chellengkhang hydel station (1x30kw) Zakhar village under Dudunghar circle and Shakti hydel station (1x50kw) at Shakti village have been affected due to landslide.

According to latest update report from the Directorate of Disaster Management, a bridge leading to Lapusa village under West Kameng district was washed away on 18 July last while two Hydel stations situated under Lumla Sub-division in Tawang district have been affected.

Report from DDMO Bomdila stated that Lapusa village on Thursday experienced heavy flash flood and landslide due to continuous downpour but informed that the village is safe and no major damage has been reported apart from the report that the bridge leading to the village was washed away.

Under Lumla Sub-division, Chellengkhang hydel station (1x30kw) Zakhar village under Dudunghar circle and Shakti hydel station (1x50kw) at Shakti village have been affected due to landslide.

In Changlang district as well there were reports of landslide in Dhobiline due to heavy rain but no casualty has been reported.

The disaster management authority however have appeal all to remain alert and stay safe. The administration across the state is also alert and in any case the individuals may immediate report to the nearest administrative centre or any authority in the area for help and support from administration and state government.
