Arunachal: promo and website of PPRF-2018 launched

1st edition of 4 days Papum Poma River Festival -2018 (PPRF) has been officially launched with the launching of its promo and website.

With motives of preserving, conserving and sustainable growth of Tourism, the 1st edition of 4 days Papum Poma River Festival -2018  (PPRF) has been officially launched  today here at State food craft institute hall IG park , Itanagar .

The festival being organising the committee members of Papum Poma River Festival -2018, with the theme ” BY THE RIVER, FOR THE COMMUNITY”. in the confluence of Papum and Poma river at Kanebung village under Sangdupota Circle, Papum Pare District.

Officially launching the Promo video of PPRF-2018 , the State tourism secretary  Sadhana Deori appreciated the festival committee members for their steps to promote or explore the virgin tourism potential of the area.

Further she also said that Civic sense and hospitality is very much important for the area people to bring the tourist in the area. Area people should encourage the visitors to visit the area freely and cooperate the outsiders who visit the area during such programme.

Launching the official websites of the PPRF 2018 the Tourism Director Kanto Danggen, wising the success of the festival, he said that though the papum poma is not so far from state Capital but State government especially tourism department is yet to reached properly to explore the tourism, so he appreciated the Committee for their initiative to explore their tourism potential.

He stated that to promote our tourism we have to just protect and preserved our Natural scenic beauty, rivers, animals and traditions cultures etc. because tourist will visit our places to see our tradition culture , natural beauty and to test our local products .

And also appeal the area people to maintain hospitality for success the festival. Further he also assured the committee members to assure possible help from the department.

Festival director John Panye  highlighting the about the festival he said that Every civilisation has been attached to rivers and have a story. Ever increasing destruction of our rivers and forest by the people creating environmental pollution and adversely affecting the wildlife, Habitat and humans. With the concept of preserving, conserving and sustainable growth Tourism Festival is being organizing  by the committee at Administrative circles of Sangdupota, Balijan and Taraso under Papum Pare District, Arunachal Pradesh.

The PPRF-2018 taking place in such location attract large numbers of visitors where they will be treated to various lifetime experiences with thrilling adventure events like White Water Rafting, Rock climbing, Kayaking, Cannoning, river crossing, Rapping, Hiking, Angling and Camping, Traditional sports and beach volleyball, live performance with traditional ambience by local artists, celebrities and exhibition of local agricultural products, endless opportunities to enjoy local cuisine and lots more to be explored by the visitors.

PPRF Chairman Tacha John, Managing Director Teli Tadap among other also address the gathering.

Assistant Director Bengia Mana Sonam, Chief Patron Teli Tada, Patron Tana Poona, Techi Hitler, Gollo Takam  and host of youth leaders from Sangdupota, Balijan and Taraso circle were present during the launching programme.

The festival shall began on November 7 to 10 in befitting manner
