Arunachal Pradesh reports one more Covid-19 death, 279 fresh cases

One hundred three   of  the 279  fresh cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex,

Itanagar:   Arunachal Pradesh reported one more death due to COVID-19 on Friday, which pushed the death toll in the state to 23, and 272 fresh COVID-19 cases which  taken the state’s virus count to 11760, said a report of health department.


A ‘72’ Yrs old male (APST) hailing from Ziro tested positive for COVID-19 died last night at 11.00 PM on way to DCH-Chimpu. He was suffering from Diabeties, Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease

One hundred three   of  the 279  fresh cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex,  41 from Changlang, 34 from West Siang, 19 from Lohit, 17 from Tirap, 11 from Upper Subansiri, 7 from East Siang, 6 each from Pakke Kessang,  and Tawang,  4 each from Lower Dibang Valley,  Papumpare, Upper Siang and Lower Subansiri, 3 each from Namsai, Siang, Lomgding and West Kameng, 2 from Kurung Kumey and 1 each from Lower Siang and Kra Daadi

Forty five  out of  279 fresh cases are Symptomatic  and rest 234 new patients are asymptomatic.  All of them have been admitted to COVID care centres, the report said.

Today  198   more people have recovered from the disease. They have been advised 14-day home quarantine and self-monitoring upon their release from hospitals, report said.

The Itanagar Capital Region comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas has so far registered 4375 cases, the highest in the state, followed by Changlang ( 949 ) and Papum Pare ( 794 ).

Of the 11760 cases, 2860 are active while 8877  people have recovered, 23 patients have died, and  262869  persons  have been tested so far.
