Arunachal Pradesh reports 201 fresh Covid-19 cases

Itanagar:  Arunachal Pradesh reported 201 fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 3rd Oct 2020,  taken the state’s virus count to 10421, said a report of health department.

Eighty of  the 201 fresh cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex,  16 from Changlang, 14 each from West Siang and Tirap, 11 from Kamle, 10 from East Siang, 9 from Lohit, 8 each from Lower Subansiri and Namsai, 5 each from West Kameng and Longding, 4 each from Pakke Kessang, and Lepa Rada, 3 from Lower Dibang Valley, 2 each from Tawang and Lower Siang, 1 each from Upper Subansiri, East Kameng, Shi Yomi, Anjaw, Papumpare and Kurung Kumey.

Forty Six out of 201  fresh cases are Symptomatic  and rest 155 new patients are asymptomatic.  All of them have been admitted to COVID care centres, the report said.

Today  205   more people have recovered from the disease. They have been advised 14-day home quarantine and self-monitoring upon their release from hospitals, report said.

The Itanagar Capital Region comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas has so far registered 3904 cases, the highest in the state, followed by Changlang (827 ) West Kameng ( 585 ).

Of the 10421 cases, 3015 are active while 7388 people have recovered and 18 patients have died, and 255951  samples have been tested so far.
