Arunachal Pradesh: Chief Minister calls on the Governor

The Governor and the Chief Minister reviewed different developmental activities, programmes and ongoing projects in the State. They also discussed about expediting the Miao-Vijoynagar Road project.

The Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 20th July 2019. The Chief Minister briefed the Governor about the meetings he had with various Central Ministers regarding the developmental plans in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Governor and the Chief Minister reviewed different developmental activities, programmes and ongoing projects in the State. They also discussed about expediting the Miao-Vijoynagar Road project.

The Governor mooted for a concerted effort for strengthening of institutions which are taking care of destitute, orphans and differently-abled children.

Planning for the next academic session of Sainik School, Niglok, East Siang District figured in their discussion. They also discussed about the programmes and functioning of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.

The Governor and Chief Minister dwelled at length about the forthcoming 68th Plenary of NEC in Guwahati on 3rd and 4th August 2019.

 This meeting is an important event concerning the development of our State, accordingly they deliberated on the important subjects and issues to be taken up with the North Eastern Council (NEC) for the progress and wellbeing of the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Governor emphasized that our State must avail of this opportunity for projecting and finalizing all the requisite developmental details at the plenary session of the North Eastern Council.
