Arunachal: Poor performance of BSNL raised in Assembly

Bomdila MLA Japu Deru raised the poor performance of the BSNL in state and specially in West Kameng district.

Raising the issue in question hour in third day of the sixteenth session of sixth legislative assembly today Japu Deru said that the poor functioning of the BSNL in state and specially in West Kameng district have raised several question on the premier organisation engaged by the government of India in telecommunication sector of the country.

He said that BSNL is not a new organisation but the private sector cellular service are providing much and far better than BSNL in the area like Nafra, Bomdila and other parts of state.

The vision of digital India of Prime Minister could only be achieved if the services are better and worthy for all and all can able to access the benefit of the scheme.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein while replying on the performances of the BSNL in state said that it is a matter of concern for all as due to poor performances of the BSNL the main problem are with the businessmen and entrepreneurs who are facing problem in GST.

He said that Prime Minister is also concern on the issue and the matter was raised by him in last GST council meeting which is affecting the GST activities in the state.

He said these problems come mostly due to flash flood, landslides and other natural calamities the work of optical fibre through underground and overhead is going on in state and it will bear fruit if completed soon.

He said that due to prolong power  interruption in several places like Wangoo village, Dikshipam, Naku, Khellong etc, OFC breakdown on Bomdila-tenga route, Bomdila-Rupa-Jaigon-Shergoan-Tenzingoan-Kalaktang route are damaged due to heavy downpour and sometime due to road construction and other reason.
