Arunachal: Performance in AISSCE result increase 5.5 % , in AISSE disappointing

The performance of the students of Arunachal Pradesh in All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (AISSCE) and All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) is very poor  and disappointing.

In Class XII examination a total of 11,153 students appeared, out of which 4,944 students have passed and pass percentage is 44.33 %  with improvement of  5.5 % in compare to 2016-17 of the government run schools of state.

While in case of Pvt, NGO and central government school a total of 2721 student appeared 2036 passed with a pass percentage of 74.83 %.

In individuals performance of the girls were outshined the boys. Ayla Borang of IGI School, Pasighat in East Siang secured 1st position securing 95.4 %, Priyankar Roy of GHSS Dem, Pasighat stood 2nd securing 94.4% while Pooja Kumari of IGI Pasighat stood 3rd with percentage of  92.8% respectively in science stream.

In commerce stream Sudeep Nath of GHSS Namsai stood 1st, Doyi Botte Modi of IGI Pasighat stood 2nd while Pinki Singh of GHSS Namsai stood 3rd position.

In Humanity stream Somu Bormon of GHSS Deomali stood 1st, Sonam Kumari of GHSS Ziro stood 2nd, Akkey Ratan of GHSS Dambuk stood 3rd and Papu Lulu of GHSS Koloriang stood 4th respectively.

The Director School Education Gania  Leij in a press release congratulated the top ten students of Class XII of state for their success.

There are 84 government Higher Secondary School,  40 Private and government added and central government run School in state.

The private, government aided and central government run schools which secured 100 percent achievement in Class XII examination are KV Tenga Valley, KV Tezu, KV Pasighat, KV Khupa, JNV Yazhuli, Nime Ashram Ziro, JNV Anini but there are no government school who secured 100 % pass percent in state revealed through a official document of the department.

In case of the class X board examination has been reintroduced from this year after the government decided to do away with the Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation (CCE) adopted earlier and the earlier system of external examination was introduced this year and the performance is very poor may be due to various reason.

In Class X examination 18,489 students registered out of which 3,924 passed with a percentage of 21.22 %. There are 183 Government school in state apart of pvt, NGO, central government and government aided run schools.

The parents and local people raised several question on the performances of the students of state in CBSE examination specially In Class X which is disappointing and when asked about the reason which may have led to the poor performances , Leij said that there are many reason which include the abolition of CCE due to which students might have suffered, non availability of subject teacher, non effective school managing committee, non  availability of proper laboratory, non availability of books and other facility to the students and many more.

Since after implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) the performances were based on CGPA system, the mindset of the students may not have cope up properly and this may have resulted in poor performances. But this year there would be appointment of 127 PGT teachers and 544 TGT teacher appointment by Arunachal Pradesh Public Service commission (APPSC) and promotion will also be given to teachers on the basis of DPC which would meet  the requirement of subject teachers and immediate shortfall would be meat which may add to the current session.

on text book Leij said the formalities have been completed and would arrive soon which will be distributed to all the district as per requirement and no shortage of books will be made available.   More smart class room are being added this year in addition to last year around 1700 schools.

Over 28 lakh students of class 10 and 12 have taken part in the examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education in the country. A total of 16,38,428 candidates were registered for class X examination, while 11,86,306 candidates have registered for class XII examination, according to CBSE.

According to reports, the examination were  conducted at 4,453 centres across India and 78 centres outside India. Similarly, for class XII, the exam held at 4,138 centres in India and 71 centres abroad.

A total of 4,510 and 2,846 differently-abled candidates have reportedly registered.
