ITANAGAR- After against the Arunachal Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, now people started raising voice against the Governor JP Rajkhowa. The Arunachal Indigenous Tribes Forum (AITF) has demanded for a recall of Arunachal Pradesh Governor JP Rajkhowa by December 31 next stating that he has lost credibility to continue his duty.
Addressing a press conference at Arunachal Press Club (APC), AITF Chairman Bengia Tolum said that the governor might disturb the age old relationship between Assam and Arunachal as he was trying to interfere in every affair of the State and at the same time failed to convince the sentiments of the people.
We have observed that since the time he took charge of the office he is engaged in anti-Arunachal activities by branding the State as a corrupt one, AITF Chairman Bengia Tolum alleged.
Moreover, he also shot a letter to the Prime Minister on September 28 last advocating for improvement of Lilabari airport in Assam which is against the people of Arunachal,” Tolum said.
While questioning the move of the governor to hide the names of the associations and unions who reportedly submitted a memorandum seeking the shifting of Hollongi airport to Lilabari, the Forum said “Doubting the patriotism of the genuine Arunachali is nothing but a political motive.”
The AITF further stated that if its demand is not fulfilled within the timeframe the forum would carry out its own course of democratic movements against the governor for his removal from the State.
