Arunachal: Pani Taram received “Adarash Yuva Vidhayak Award”

MLA Pani Taram from Arunachal Pradesh received the ‘Adarash Yuva Vidhayak Puraskar’ at a function of 8th Bharatiya Chatra Shansad Foundation (Indian Student Parliament) held at MIT university, Pune, Maharashtra.

A total of 12 lawmakers of the country received the award of which three of them are from North East Region. The  selection process was made in 12 states of the country in which 12 lawmakers have been selected, including Taram for his role in spread of development activities. This year the theme was  “ Prospective of Indian Democracy” and discussion was held on the issue which is a joint research project.

The BCS and MAEER’s MIT School of Government, Pune in its 8th national conclave from January 19 to 21 will confer the award which comprises of a grand citation, shawl and trophy.

Arunachal Pradesh former Speaker Nabam Rebia  and  Kiren Rijiju  had participated in BCS earlier.

The programme was held under the chairmanship of Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr.Pramod Shawant, Several eminent personalities of country address the gathering of which include Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker, Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodiakanal Vice Chancellor Dr. G Bali,  Social reformer Dr Moalana Singh and others.

lawmaker Pani Taram while delivering his lecture said that youth are the future of tomorrow. Youths have lots of responsibility and they should actively participate in democracy and work for social and economic development.

The innovative opinion of youths need to be respected and recognised. The government on other hand directly or indirectly involve the youths in skill development so that they either get employment or self employed  so as the poverty is slowly eradicated from the country which would be a part of nation building.
