Arunachal: NSCN Factional clash, 3 killed including 1 civilian

A factional clash between NSCN (IM) and NSCN (U) have been reported from Deomali of Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday wherein 2 militant and 1 civilian have reportedly killed and 1 injured.

Deputy Commissioner Tirap district , P N Thungon while confirming the incident which broke out in Deomali Circle on May 31st morning said that the police and other security forces are in operation and formalities are being done by Tirap police and others.

DIG (Eastern Range) Upur Bitin said that on Thursday morning at around 7 there was a factional firing between NSCN (IM)  and NSCN (U) in the Tirap district in area of Namsang and Sipini village  under Deomali Police Station. Two militant of NSCN (U) was killed. One civilian namely S Ali (businessmen) of Deomali who was suspected to be abducted by the militant for ransom was also killed while another villager namely Kocha was injured in the firing.

The injured person was evacuated to AMC Dibrugarh for treatment who is stated to be out of danger.

Bitin said that formalities have been done while body have been handed over to relatives and others and further investigation is on.

He said that operation is on in the area to look out for the any hideout of the militias to take action and to stop any further recurrence. Bitin added.

Meanwhile on the other hand the  Arunachal Naga Students’ Federation, ANSF, vehemently condemned  the firing incident.
