Arunachal: New Timeline of 4-laning of NH-415 is March 2019

Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein gives a new timeline to complete the Package-A of 4-laning of National Highway-415 from Chandranagar to Banderdewa by March 2019. He gives this time line today in a meeting with the M Riten Kumar Singh, Regional Officer, MoRT&H Itanagar, Bilatee Pertin, Commissioner(PWD), Toli Basar, Chief Engineer (Highway), Prince Dhawan, Deputy Commissioner (Capital Complex), Engineers of Capital Division (PWD & Highway) and representatives of M/S T K Engineering.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow progress of works, Mein asked the contractor to expedite the works and increase the numbers of machineries and working hours. He asked them to work in night shift especially in the portion of Chandranagar to Raj Bhawan road as the area is congested with traffic during the day. He also instructed to construct the retaining wall in the Secretariat portion before the onset of monsoon and also to see that no major damages are occurred in landslide vulnerable areas in the new cutting in Itanagar township.

Techi Kaso, Parliamentary Secretary (Highway) asked the district administration to shift the utility service lines of water pipeline, electric poles, Telephone Poles and OFC Cables from the Right of Way (RoW) for the smooth construction of works and to take stringent action against the departmental officer that does not comply.

The executing agency also sought for complete traffic diversion from Chandranagar to Raj Bhawan road during GSB/WBM and BT works from February 10 for next 30 days to which the Deputy Commissioner assured to look into.
