Arunachal: New Advertisement policy in the next cabinet- Chowna Mein

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein while discussion with the media fraternity today assured to place the new Advertisement policy in the next cabinet.

A meeting was organised by the Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein wherein Minister IPR, Parliamentary Affairs, PHE and Government Spokesmen Bamang Felix, Special Secretary IPR Hemanshu Gupta, Director IPR Obang Tayeng, Deputy Director Dasher Techi, Arunachal Press Club  (APC) President Chopa Cheda, Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalist (APUWJ) President Amar Sangno, Arunachal Electronic Media Association (AEMA) President Mukul Pathak and others executive Members of the trio organisation attended the meeting held here at the conference hall of the DCM at Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat. The meeting discussed several grievances of the media fraternity in state.

The main agenda of the meeting which include the Advertisement and Broadcasting policy, new system of giving advertisement through online system,

DCM while assured to look after all grievance of the media from time to time. He emphasise the officers of the IPR department to take care of the advertisement policy wherein the local electronic and digital media is benefited. He directed them to take up the proposal and kept in the budget provision under “broadcasting head’ of account so that the department may able to carry out the work smoothly and properly. He said that system is being generated for smoother for ordering Advertisement to the media houses connected with online system and would be available latest by March 18.

Various other issues were also raised and discussed which include construction of New Press Club building, Appointment of PRO for various major department,

Minister IPR Bamang Felix while said that despite the IPR department in state is in nascent stage the new advertisement policy will give a new direction and would help the media in state to grow. He said that the young students from Mass communication of state may also benefited from proposed film and television instituted which would come up in Jote/Poma area of Sangdupota Circle of Papum Pare district. He also directed the officers to plan for the year so is to incorporate in the Budget Estimate (BE).

All officers and media fraternity give their suggestion and advice on the issues.

Earlier  this morning a meeting was held at the official resident of Deputy Chief Minister wherein the executive Members of AEMA were present. Parliamentary Secretary Planning Zingnu Namchoom was also present during the meeting.
