Arunachal: Loiliang Village selected for Model Village under CMAGY

A NEW ERA OF DEVELOPMENT IN ARUNACHAL-   Loiliang Village one of the oldest villages and has retained its cultural and traditional significance selected for Model Village under CMAGY.

Loiliang Village under Tezu sadar circle has been selected as a Model Village under the Chief Minister’s Adarsh Gram Yojana (CMAGY). A launching programme was held in this regard at the premises of Government Primary School, Loiliang where Dr. Mohesh Chai Hon’ble Minister Agriculture, Horticulture, Fishery, AH&V, and Sports & Youth Affairs formally inaugurated the village as Model Village under CMAGY.

He described the day as historic for the people of Loiliang Village for it will embark in a new era of development where they will be provided with piped Drinking water, Electricity at household level, primary school, primary health infrastructure, internal roads, avenues of employment generation and open defecation free. He told that all the developmental activities will be taken up in phase manner.

Loiliang Village is one of the oldest villages and has retained its cultural and traditional significance. It has also been selected as one of the two Model Culrural Villages in Arunachal Pradesh. He shared his idea to develop it as cultural hub in tourism point of view.

This year 32 beneficiaries have been selected for construction of Dwelling Houses through Gram Sabha under CMAGY.

The entitled amount will be deposited in bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer. All this is to ensure transparency and accountability, he added.

Meanwhile, he encouraged the youths to make good use of smart phones, like to search about the schemes and policies of the Government for their own awareness. He have asked the youths to visit www.arunachalbudget.in to broaden their knowledge about the plans and policies of the State Government.

He also spoke of his plan to send some women members of Self Help Groups to Jorhat, Assam for obtaining industrial training which will provide them with skills to make saleable items by using raw materials available around. This will help them to uplift their economic status.

He also shared his idea to open farmers co-operative societies to provide market for cardamom and other agri and allied produces growers.  Policy of my departments will be Farmer Centric, he told.

Dr. Chai made an appeal to all the villagers for their individual cooperation in all the developmental activities which will be undergoing in the village.

He also informed that an Engineering College under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan has been sanctioned in Tezu.

Dr. Chai also highlighted various Central and State Government plans and policies, and other developmental activities that the District has witnessed in the recent years.

Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki informed that the selected beneficiaries will awarded with the necessary fund in phase manner after observing all the codel formalities. He have requested for proper untilisation of the fund.

PD DRDA, Head Gaon Burah, Gaon Burah, and Ex-ASM also spoke on the occasion.
