Arunachal: Libang launches small LPG cylinder

Gas agency are not available in the rural area of Arunachal, now the 5 KG refill gas cylinder would be available in all petrol pump- Alo Libang

Minster RD, Panchayat,  Alo Libang on Friday launched state wide free trade LPG (5 KG FTL) for the convenient of the housewives and consumers as a whole.

Addressing the launching  ceremony  at Hotel Waii International, Libang said that  it is a good initiative  of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to reach to every household so that everyone can cook food irrespective of rich or poor.

He said that to get the small capacity cylinder from the gas agency or petrol pump the process is very easy with only a identity proof and it less costlier than the present bigger one which is a capacity of around 14 KG.

Secretary Food and Civil Supply Jockey Angu, while interacted the retailers said that we have to serve the consumers with outmost  sincerity and also to listen the grievance so that the consumers is fully satisfied .

IOCL, Guwahati, IOAOD State Office, Chief General Manager Uttiya Bhattacharyya in his address said Indian Oil Corporation Limited is privileged to introduce 5 Kg Free Trade LPG in the entire state of Arunachal Pradesh through the Indian Oil Retail Outlets.

To start with, 16 retail outlets in 15 districts will store 5 Kg FTL LPG cylinders besides Petrol, Diesel and Lubricating oils. The number of retail outlets would be expanded further to cover all the Indian Oil Retail Outlets in the state.

The LPG from Indian Oil is marketed under the brand name “Indane”. This is a very old brand that was introduced in Mid 60’s and is now one of the Largest packed- LPG brands in the world.

5 kg FTL cylinders are also available at all LPG distributors. The LPG Distributor/Retail Outlet will sell 5 kg FTL cylinders to the customers at the applicable RSP through a cash memo on Cash and Carry basis.

 The prospective customer at the time of first sale would be required to provide a copy of the Proof of identity (Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Voter I-card, Driving License, Bank Pass book, Employees ID, Passport, Student ID or any other such document which can act as proof of Identity)

The LPG sold under the scheme will be called Free Trade LPG (FTL).

At the time of first sale at Itanagar, the cost of the FTL will be  Rs. 944 including GST, Cost of Pressure Regulator at around Rs 166, while Cost of the product at prevailing MRP = Rs 415. Total Cost excluding Pressure Regulator  will be Rs 1359.00 and the Total cost with Pressure Regulator will be Rs. 1524.20 while subsequent refilling consumer have to pay Rs 415.00 (prevailing MRP).

5 kg FTL cylinder is light in weight, approx. 13 kg with LPG compared to 14.2 kg cylinder with approx. 30 kg weight with LPG and very convenient to carry, particularly in hilly terrain, in addition to environmental friendly fuel. Cost of refill cylinder is also less @ Rs. 415.00 compared to Rs. 856.00 for 14.2 kg refill cylinder now at Itanagar. No documentation is required while buying the product from the above point of sale except for ID proof. It is like buying other commodities. So, kitchen will never go dry even if there is shortage of 14.2 kg cylinder in the market.

Few consumers were also given away with the small cylinder on the occasion.
