A Kisan Kalyan Karyashala held in Kra Daadi District of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday, Experts of various fields brief the farmers about various schemes .
Central Observers for Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (GSA) for Kra Daadi and Kurung Kumey Districts, Director Agriculture Operations, Farmer Welfare HK Suanthang, and Deputy Secretary Water Resource, Govt. of India YP Yadav visited Palin and take stock of the several Govt schemes and benefits such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjala, Ujjwala, Mission Indradhanush etc.
They sought report and review of all the initiatives under GSA undertaken in Kra Daadi District during an interaction programme with HODs in Nyokum Hall, Palin.
HK Suanthang suggested that ‘we should inculcate financial literacy in terms of saving, insurance etc. YP Yadav asked about achievements of the District in terms of some of the scheme especially during GSA’.
Later on they paid a visit to Dui Village, where Kisan Kalyan Karyashala was organized by ATMA, Kra Daadi District. The HODs of agriculture, horticulture, veterinary, fisheries and textile brief the farmers about various schemes available for doubling their income by 2022.
Some of the farmers and PRIs members also spoke on the occasion and suggested that before undertaking any scheme, land development must be undertaken first. They also expressed their apprehension regarding political involvement in selection of beneficiaries.
HK Suanthang spoke about e-NAM, which will help in minimizing the involvement of middleman during selling of agricultural produce. He also told about farmer friends, kishan call centre, customer hiring centre etc. Yadav told about PMKSY and optimal utilization of available resources.
