Arunachal: Khandu inaugurates new SP office building in Tawang

Chief Minister in his speech said law and order will always be priority and all out effort is being put to strengthen the police force in the state.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu today inaugurated the new office building of Superintendent of Police here in presence of Home Minister Bamang Felix.

Chief Minister in his speech said law and order will always be priority and all out effort is being put to strengthen the police force in the state.

He said state government has sanctioned good amount of funds for police modernisation from procuring latest equipment to meeting infrastructure gaps and manpower.

Chief Minister said two more police battalion of the state will be formed soon. He also said 1000 more posts for state police force is yet to be filled up and informed to carry out recruitment shortly.

On revenue generation, Chief Minister informed that top revenue generating districts will get special focus from the state government. He said a sense of competitiveness will be generated so that every districts will compete to generate maximum revenue.

Chief Minister further informed that besides allocation of Rs 2500 Cr approved by state cabinet committee on infrastructure recently, an additional Rs 1000 Cr more funds will be released soon for developing infrastructure in the state. He also informed that Rs 200 Cr is being kept for distributions of funds to all 60 constituencies.

Home Minister Felix also spoke on the occasion.

Also present on the occasion were Arunachal DGP RP Upadhyaya, Brigadier Zubin Bhatnagar of Indian Army and SP Tawang Sagar Singh Kalsi.
