Arunachal: Joram-Koloriang road Package I & II flagged off

Joram-Koloriang road Package I & II flagged off today, Bamang Felix appealed  to the people “not to create hindrance during the construction work”.

Two lane road from Joram-Koloriang, Package I & II today flagged off by Home Minister Bamang Felix in presence of Agriculture, Horticulture & Dairy Development Minister Tage Taki, WRD and Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung, Education & cultural Affairs Minister and local MLA Yachuli Taba Tedir and host of local leaders and HODs of Lower Subansiri and Kara Daadi district at Talo Village in Lower Subansiri district today.

“ Lives have been lost and economies of these areas crippled due to the bad roads and communication bottlenecks. Let us all rise above our petty greeds and extend our wholehearted support to the engineers and the contractors who have assured to finish this 24km stretch road within two and half years from now.” Minister Home Bamang Felix said while addressing the public.

“ The Pema Khandu government will also leave no stones unturned to ensure the completion of this road. At the same time the District Administration and the Police Department should be more vigilant and identify individuals creating ruckus and hindrance without any fear,” he added.

“ I will also personally monitor the progress of this road and ensure frequent visits to the camp office at Ziro,” he further added while also suggesting NHIDCL to streamline the earth cutting process.

The Ministry of Home, GoAP will be soon launching “ Hamara Arunachal Abhiyaan that would involve youths, Goan Buras and Goan Buris, CBOs etc  to contain law and order issues in the society,” he further informed and appealed all volunteer their services for the abhiyaan.

“ One of the most important point in my Election Manifesto was the clearance of this road,” said  Taba Tedir, Minister Education, Cultural Affairs and Department of Indigenous Affairs, who is also the local MLA while expressing his joy.

“ This ceremony is just the first phase of this project. For this road to be complete all of us will have to extend unconditional support to the companies that would building this road. Let us all make this a model road,” he added.

 Tage Taki, Minister Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary  and Dairy Development called for a paradigm shift of our mindsets and being progressive in thoughts and actions.

“This belt can be the agriculture and horticulture corridor of the state, if this communication bottleneck is cleared, “he further added while appealing all for corporation for the completion of the road in the stipulated time.

Mama Natung, Minister Sports and Youth affairs, Chukhu Takar, DC Lower Subansiri District and  Prabhakar Kumar, GM (P), NHIDCL also spoke on the occasion.

This stretch of road marred with compensation controversies will finally see the day with M/S TKE Consortium Pvt. Ltd and M/S Brand Eagles executing the work with technical inputs from HEC in Association with AIPPL.  The stage –I from  Joram Koloriang road from KM 20.00 to KM 32.050 at the cost of 103.48cr and the stage-II  from  KM 32.050 to KM 44.00 (Lower Subansiri and Kra Daadi border)at the cost of 102.63 cr .

Addressing the media Felix said that the dreams and expectation of people of Kra Daadi and Kurung Kumey will come true.

Very soon the tender process of Potin-Pangin road will again began and hope that the work on the said stretch also began soon. Cutting on other six package of Joram-Koloriang road is in progress and if the work got completed we may see a good road. On corruption on the TAH, Felix said that there was allegation but the investigation is going on and cannot say more. Felix added.

Tedir said that the road is strategically importance road as it carried army to bordering China as well equally important for the locals of Kurung Kumey and Kra Daadi district for economic development.

Minister Mama Natung while said that JK road was approved and sanctioned much earlier than the road of East Kameng Via Sagalee but this road remain unexecuted due to technical problem. He urge upon all to cooperate and understand the need of a good road and support the administration and executing agency during the construction.

Among others MLA Balo Raja, HoDs, Senior public leaders of the area, goan buras and goan buris, representatives from ANSU attended the program.
