Arunachal: Jomoh Welfare Society celebrates 1st foundation day

The Jomoh Welfare Society celebrated its first foundation day in befitting manner here near Government Middle School, Hollongi Patila under Balijan Circle today.

Addressing the huge gathering Chief Guest Papum Pare District BJP President Tana Hali Tara said that loss of culture is loss of identity, all rituals need to be performed and if not it may lead to loss of the identity of the clan and in future to tribe.

Hali said that we are the descendent of Abotani and we have to keep its glory. All clan members those who are residing in the different parts of state who gathered together is also a part of unification and is a work of god.

He appeal the youth to know about the genealogy and mythology of our clan and existence of the community and tribes so that we would and we can preserve and promote our culture and tradition.

Guest of Honour Joint Secretary Parliamentary Affairs Tagom Gao while said that ‘education is a panacea of development’ Emphasising that development is only possible if members are educated and appeal the youths to focus on education. He contributed a set of Computer to the society.

Special guest lower Balijan ZPM Tana Puna Tara while welcoming the guest said that it is our opportunity that we have been gathered here for unification of people of the society. The clan members should work together for the development of the society and area.

Vice Chairman and overall Incharge Biukon Jomoh, Organising Chairman and JWS General Secretary Khyaking Jomoh, Asstiant Professor Lili R. Jomoh, Overall Incharge Games and Sport Poho Jomoh  among other address the gathering.

The day long function which include cultural extravaganza, discussion, sporting activities, merry making and others.
