Parliamentary Secretary UD, TP, ULB & PWD Techi Kaso, who is also the MLA of Itanagar on Saturday visited several places affected due to storm.
He also visited Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic Institute (RGGPI) to discussed the problems faced by the students after the devastating thunderstorm and cyclone which lashed the state capital on Thursday last leaving behind a trail of devastation.
RGGPI Principal AK Tripathi informed the details of problems being faced by the students owing to blown away of the roofs of the Boys and girls hostel and since then the students have been facing lots of problems.
Kaso requested the Capital Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan to take up the matter of repairing and maintenance of the boys and girls hostel of the RGGPI immediately as the institute is only government run technical institute in the capital.
Later Kaso alongwith ZPM Itanagar Techi Mecha, ASM Chimpu-Datt Bamang Aman, social workers Taro Tagia visited several affected places and provide immediate relief in terms of cash.
He also provided support for conducting social service in churches affected by the thunderstorm at Kangko Village Baptist Church, Chimpu-I Baptist Church, Revival Church Chimpu, Chimpu Baptist Church.
He later visited the vending Zone located at Ganga Market which was also affected by the cyclone which is now n pathetic condition and need immediate repairing and maintenance and he assured his support and appeal them to have patience as government is also concern to the damaged caused by the nature.
