Several innovative project of state are lying incomplete and abandoned for years together. One of such project like Inter-state Truck Terminal (ISTT) at Lekhi is lying abandoned for more than 6 years, the project is lying in dilapidated  condition which need immediate attention of the state government for its completion and functional for public use.

Several truck owners wanted to know why fast track work is not being taken up for its completion like of AP civil Secretariats, Inter state Bus terminal, MLA Apartment, DK Convention Hall etc.

Recently land donor of the ISTT have also appeal the state government to immediately complete the terminal for the greater interest of the general public at the earliest.

The concerned citizen donated the land measuring 32,175,83 sqmtrs (3,2175 hacter) and additional area for double lane approach road to ISTT. Since then the structure is under construction and the very purpose of the construction is defeated until it is completed and one of the dream project of Late Khandu is still in helm of affairs.

The project was approved in 2009 under Jawahar Nehru urban renewal mission (JNNUrM) and almost competed in 2012. The 10 % share from government of India is not received till today. But state government have planned to complete the project within this financial year for public utility.

The locals said that the state government is keen to complete the project but still pending for last more than 5 years.

Few locals said that the infrastructure created years back was damaged and broken by miscreants due to abandoned . The compound is full of big grasses and the parking area filled with mud and huge grass.

When contacted one senior officer from Urban Development said that the work was stopped due to several issue but the government have determine to complete the project ,  for which fund have been earmarked, We are working on it and hope that the project is completed and brought to the public use very soon.

However, Urban Development Joint Director T Darang informed that ” the finishing, completion and other related works  have already started and it would be completed before March 2019 for public use”.
