The introduction and competition round of the top 12 contestants of the Arunachal Idol season-II began here with lots of enthusiasm and craze of the participants at Siddhartha Hall on Monday.
The first competition round starts with the two performances of all the contestants, who will face the elimination round on coming Sunday according to the remarks given by the three judges.
This year judges for the second edition of Arunachal Idol includes Jeli kayi, the top 10 finalists of Indian Idol and a popular singer of Arunachal Pradesh as the first judges, Karry Padu a filmmaker cum renowned Galo singers is the second judge while the third judges Nokngam lukham is the renowned wangcho singer.
The top 12 has been divided into three groups under the supervision of the three judges to master in different song genres.
Earlier, the district audition was held at 6 different location in the state from October 1st to 13 last, where 1203 participant was selected for the Itanagar audition, where 200 were selected for first round of mega audition, number minimizing to the 82 on second round and 36 on the third, from which top 12 were announced on the same day.
The programme will be telecast on every Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm on DD Northeast channel.
Top 12 contestants which include Alar Dupak, Lenjing Doming from East Siang distract, Topi Bomjen , Majo D. Lendo and Minter Lollen of West Siang, Yami Puri and Yasha Nyogin of Upper Subansiri, Tenzin Chaephel from West Kameng, Doi Nyicyor of Lower Siang, Arman Sonam Waii of East Kameng, Tourlong Chama from Tirap and Tarh Chuniya of Papum Pare district.
