More than Ten dwelling houses partially submerged due to heavy rain and back flow of several nallah and river in Hollongi Patila Village in Hollongi pancahayt of Balijan Circle.

The continuous heavy downpour have created the day to day life a miserable due  overflowing of Panka Nallah,  said local of Hollongi Patila area.

it is very unfortunate that every year we have to face such a situation and there are severe loss of our property,  granary and other belongings, Said  Jomo Uma, a local resident of the area.

This year also the situation same and fourteen dwelling houses, granary and cattle shed,  agriculture, horticulture and kitchen garden are submerged by the back water of the  Panka Nallah, he added.

Youth leader Yowa Bullet and Taba Takar  while informed that there may be some obstruction in free flow of the Panka Nallah, due to that the nallah is  over flowing and   water entering in to the  village.

Locals  demanded immediate action from the administration as the villagers, school going children and women are facing lots of difficulties as the dwelling are half submerged and getting fear of drowning .

Few local said that we have been reporting our problems to the administration but the problem remain same and no action have been initiated so far.

MLA of Doimukh Constituency Nabam Rebia, who is also the  Minister Land Management, Environment & Forest informed Arunachal24, ”  he have already informed the NDRF team base over there,  directed DC Papum Pare to visited the area,  asses the ground reality and take necessary action as deem fit. He further said he would also visit the area positively.

However DDMO Yupia informed that the flood victims of Hollongi Patila village has been identified as  Chera John, Chera Yadap, Chera Nanu, Jomo Oma, Tajin Takar, Taka Nadiram, Taka Gopal, Taka Taroni, Ningee Tatung, Tajin Neme and others.
