Arunachal has Great potential for Tourism- Sabyasachi Dutta

Impressed with the beauty of the region first Mayor of the newly-formed Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, Sabyasachi Dutta said that the “Arunachal Pradesh has Great potential for Tourism Development” . Mr Dutta had a brief meeting with Dy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Saturday at Golden Pagoda lodge at Noy-Chenam (Tengapani).
Sabyasachi Dutta who is also the All India Trinamol Congress MLA from Rajarhat New Town in Kolkatta is on a maiden tour to Namsai district along with his better half to witness the grandeur of the region.
During their short meet, both the leaders discussed on tourism related activities of their states.
Impressed with the beauty of the region, Dutta informed that still there are large areas in the State and NE region in particular which are untapped from the tourist point of view. There is great potential for development of tourism, particularly in Arunachal Pradesh and NE region as whole, which require proper tapping with immediate effect. Although tourism is the responsibility of the state governments, the Central Government should lend all help to develop tourism in this region, he added.
