Arunachal Govt would conduct National Level game by 2024- Mama Natung

The State Government would conduct the National level Games in Arunachal Pradesh by 2024, after getting green signal from the center, informed Mama Natung, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, during the inauguration of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Academy ” here at Ganga Market on Tuesday.

Minister said that Central government can give the green signal to conduct national level games in Arunachal Pradesh, but due to lack of infrastructure and accommodation facilities in state, it is yet to finalised.  But we are working on it and trying to conduct national game is our state by 2024 , he added.

Minister Youth Affairs and Sports  who himself was Karatekas informed that the state government have allocated  considerable amount of fund to promote the sports like Wushu, Boxing, Karate and Badminton.

Natung further assured all possible help to the MMA Academy to mixed martial arts in the state. He hoped that through the academy the state would bring laurels in the combat sports competitions.

Our youth have lots of potentials in the sports, only thing we need to do is  to tap it and channelize in right direction, minister said.

Sidharth Singh, The head coach of  Cross train Fight Club(Delhi), who attended the function as special guest exhorted, “ Lets put Arunachal Pradesh in the map of MMA with this new  academy”. Sidharth Singh who trained HigioTaarak in Delhi, is the Indian only Brazilian Jit-jitsu(BJJ), brown belt.

Sharing his objective in founding MMA academy, founder and head coach of  Abrasumente, HigioTaarak said that providing world class MMA training for the people of state so that  the state can produce national as well as international champions and professional fighters in the future.

Natung was accompanied by former minister Nabam Rebia, Er Joram Lalin and Siddharth Singh, the only Indian in history to win a Brown Belt for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Championship and owner of the India’s top martial art academy with five branches in India – Crosstrain Fight club and also trainer of  Higio Tarak, owner of Abrasumente Academy.
