All Kra Daadi District Students Union (AKDDSU) President Gora Rikam Bhai on Wednesday told that the state government has promised to work on the various demands uphold by the union on socio-economic sector in the district.
Earlier the union had demanded for immediate function of District College, establishment of District Hospital, provide two ambulances and one mortuary van, funds for maintenance of infrastructure of Government Secondary & Higher Secondary school at Palin and Tali added with the construction of road to Tali.
Gora Rikam told that the Minister of PHED & WS department and Government Spokesman Bameng Felix accompanied by former student leader and social worker Jikke Tako as a representative of chief minister called up for a meeting where it was assured to settle the various demands of the union.
“The meeting was fruitful and the government has assured to fulfil all the demands of the union. The academic session of District College will be started from next session and Principal, Assistant Professor will be transferred too, Rikam said.”
Regarding the district hospital Bamang Felix has assured to sort out the problems and requirement with a dialogue with the chief minister so that people avails all the basic needs like specialist doctor, medicine and equipments.
Felix has also assured to allocate funds for the maintenance of school under SADA in the next financial year and promised to provide ambulance for the hospital at primary health centre Tali within a month. The construction of road from Yangte to Tali has been sectioned amounting 10 Crore and the construction will start soon after the formal tendering process, Rikam told.
Meanwhile the union has thanked the Minister of PHED & WS department Bameng Felix and chief minister of the state Pema Khandu for initiating and working on the demands for the larger interest of the district and the scial workers Jikke Tako who belongs to the Kara Daadi district who is also pursuing the matter for a solution. Rikam added.
