The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) has conveyed his good wishes to the people of the peope of the State on the occasion of sacred Raksha Bandhan,

In his message, the Governor said that Raksha Bandhan (bond of protection) is an auspicious occasion of protective care, which is unique and pious in our society. It unites the people, cultures, communities, and the society as a whole.

As the traditions and practices go, Raksha Bandhan is a very special event, where the sensitivity of the unbreakable pledges amongst the sibling becomes the essence of relationship.

It is a day when siblings pray for each others’ well being and wish for each others’ long life, good health, happiness, progress, and prosperity, the Governor said.

On this festival day, let us all resolve to promote an endearing coexistence, benevolent neighbourhood and goodwill across the board varied strata and amongst the communities of the society.

We must make this Raksha Bandhan, the day of our collective endeavour to work for the well-being of one and all, the Governor appealed.
