Arunachal: Durpa FC lift the VIIIth Inter Panchayat level football tournament -2018

The Durpa Panchayat Football Club lift the ongoing VIIIth Panchaayt level football tournament-2018 in an interesting match with Upper Jumi Pancahayat football club at Mini Subansiri stadium, Kimin today.

The tournament which began on October 19 in which 7 teams participated and the final match was played today wherein large numbers of spectators was gathered to witness the deciding match between the two panchayat of same circle.

Addressing the valedictory function Land Management, Environment & Forest Minister Nabam Rebia said that winning and loosing is part of game but participation is must.  One should try for his best of luck to get in participation of any games and sport at any level.

The state government have been supporting and promoting all types of games and sport and also giving job reservation to meritorious sportsperson who bring laurel for the state at the highest level.

While showing his serious concern on the involvement of young boys and girls in clutch of drug, Rebia said that everybody have to take a decision to save our children and younger generation should also think twice and thrice otherwise their future is in dark and like body without life. He also urge upon the farmer  to avoid cannabis (ganga) opium cultivation  and start or shift to other product like vegetable nod fruits and other horticulture crops for better sustainability.

He also elaborated various schemes and project undertaken under his initiative in the area for the development of Kimin and Kakoi circle of the district.

Guest of Honour, Arunachal Pradesh state Science & technology (APSCS &T) Chrisman Bamang Mangha said that our duty is our responsibility and urge upon all stake holders to support the youths for better growth and development. He assured all support for growth of sports and various development project and welfare schemes for  science technology work in the area.

The winner Durpa team went away with cash prize of Sixty thousand while runner received the cash prize of Thirty thousand along with trophy and certificate. Kimin-I adjudged as best discipline team, Likha Sonam of Upper Jumi and Tagru James of Durpa were awarded for best scorer, Tadar Mama of Upper Jumi was declared best player of the tournament and Ngurang Rikam of Upper Jumi was awarded for best goalkeeping.

Both team played well and the match was decided by a penalty shot by player of Durpa FC in extra time.

SDO Incharge Khoda Rakhi, social worker Ngurang Taka, Gyamar Sikap, Teli Nanu, all heads of department, GBs, former PRI members, students and general public of the kimin township witness the match.
