Dr Joram Aniya Tana who was conferred the World Hindi Award during the 11th World Hindi Conference was given a warm reception today on her arrival at Naharlagun helipad.
Dr Joram Aniya Tana who was conferred the World Hindi Award during the 11th World Hindi Conference (WHC) recently was given a warm reception today on her arrival at Naharlagun helipad by hundreds of family members, relative, well-wishers and others.
She received the award from External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and President of Mauritius, in the presence of several dignitaries at three-day conference held at Mauritius capital, which concluded on Monday.
The conference was attended by several Hindi scholars from India and abroad. Dr Anya was selected for the award by a selection committee of Hindi experts.
Dr. Aniya, a Hindi scholar, was conferred World Hindi Award during the event. She was among Indian and foreign Hindi scholars selected by a committee of Hindi experts to receive the honour. Her trip was sponsored by Union Ministry of External Affairs.
While taking to reporters at helipad Dr. Aniya said I am very happy to see that large numbers of people from various walk of life have come to received me, that there are crores of Hindi-speaking people in the world, the day is not far when the United Nations will accord Hindi the status of, one of the important and recognised languages of the world. She assume and hope.
She said that Hindi is most spoken language in India is a matter of pride for the language and the nation itself and we are proud to speak Hindi in all walk of life. It testifies the importance of Hindi at the global level, Indian languages especially Hindi are linked to India’s and Mauritius’s traditions, values and ethos. Hindi language is link to many cultures and similar to many languages.
There has been a constant endeavour to elevate the status of Hindi language world over as we have confidence that Hindi is flourished all over the world.
Around 290 delegates from other parts of world participated apart of local committee and special invitees at Port Luis discussed three day conference.
The WHC begun in 1975 to make Hindi language a medium of service and knowledge and enable it to move forward with the time. Since then, Hindi has made remarkable progress and it has become one of the prominent languages of the world.
While thanking the people of state for showing lots of love, affection which have add to her achievement and thanks one and all and appeal for such support to all those who made proud for our state in the national, international and world forum. She said.
Giving a message to youths Dr. Aniya said that work hard, do your work sincerely, respect your elder and get blessing for all those good work which make you proud, give you recognition and give you peace of mind and laurel for all those people who area associated in the society. “language is culture” she added and appeal all to preserve culture and language.
