Arunachal CM visits Aalo hospital, and Schools

With health and education as his priorities, Chief Minister Kalikho Pul today visited the district hospital, ANM School and the government higher secondary school (GHSS) in Aolo town, and get the firsthand accounts related to these establishments.

Patients informed to the CM, that  generally medicines not available in hospitals  and they compel to purchase from out side. The chief minister immediately asked to the hospital authority and requested them to make the medicine available free of cost. He assured for providing Funds for procurement require medicines.

The chief minister also visited Hospital’s female ward, casualty room, maternity ward and the operation theatre. The chief minister also enquired on the type of facilities available in the ward, and checked to see how the doctors, nurses and staffs were carrying on with their work.

 On meeting them, the chief minister said he was happy with the hospital services, the hygiene and how the doctors are handling the patients. He advised the doctors and the nurses to take every bit care of the patients

The chief minister was also impressed by his visit to the ANM School. Touring the institute, he found the facilities such as, the hostel rooms, toilet, kitchen and the classrooms to be well maintained and clean.

Speaking on the importance of nursing in the health care service, the chief minister said, “Your first priority is human service. Give your best so that you may help save a life.”

The chief minister had trooped into hostel unannounced, without giving any chance to dust up. The hostel was dotted with damaged walls, broken windows, perforated ceiling, and the kitchen and the toilets in extremely filthy and unhygienic conditions. To his amusement, two mithuns had taken shelter inside the hostel room. Also the classrooms, auditorium and toilet facilities in the school’s administrative block were in similar dire condition.

 The chief minister urged the school faculty members to give priority to health and sanitation in the school campus and requested them to conduct periodic cleanliness drive.

Earlier, he made his scheduled visit to the academic block, where he inspected the classrooms, auditorium and its toilet facilities. The infrastructure here too was in awful condition with broken floors, windows and damaged walls.

 The chief minister said the government is ready to help rebuild the worn down school and the hostel with a new concrete structure. But he expected the school authority and the students to take proper care of the school building.

The chief minister requested the works department officials to map up all the requirements and to prepare a comprehensive proposal for complete renovation of the school and hostel building. On shortage of subject teachers, he assured to fulfill the requirement of English and Political science teachers in the school.

 The chief minister also toured the Nehru Memorial government higher secondary school, Aalo. He was accorded warm welcome by the school’s scouts contingent.
