Arunachal: Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee calls on the Governor

Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee assures to take up the issues of infrastructure development in the State with the Central Government.

The Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) and Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Sunil Lanba, PVSM, AVSM, ADC called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 25th October 2018.

Welcoming the honoured State Guest, the Governor said that his visit to the Frontier State of Arunachal Pradesh reinforces the sense of security amongst the people. He expressed his hope that border security challenges of the State particularly on our Northern Borders will be taken care of by COSC.

Congratulating the young achievers, the Governor said that it is great incentives to be facilitated by the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee, who is the head of all service chiefs.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Chowna Mein Deputy Chief Minister highlighted on Migration of population from border areas and advocated for expediting the Frontier Road Projects and other developmental programmes.

In his address, the COSC recalled his earlier visits and lauded the people of the State for their culture, simplicity and nationalism. He appreciated the Military-Civil synergy in the State. He assured that he would take up the issues of infrastructure development in the State with the Central Government, when he returns to the National Capital.

Earlier, Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee felicitated achievers of the State, which included Beauty pageant Miss Chum Darang, Author Mr Gumlat Mayo, Singer Miss Chochung Dema Thungon, Martial Artist Mr. Dingjamso Tawsik, Wildlife film maker Mr. Tallo Antony, Singer Mr. Jelly Kaye, Theater activitist & actor Mr. Tai Tugung and entrepreneur Miss Tage Rita Take.
