22-year old Taluk Hilli who hails from small Village Irgo of Shi-Yomi District of Arunachal Pradesh got the best  fighter award.

Taluk Hilli represented Arunachal in National Mixed Martial Arts  Championship at Mumbai from15  to 17th November organized by All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation and won a Bronze Medal for Arunachal.

Taluk beat Mumbai Tiger in first bout and Knock out Telangana Warrior in 15 Second, and in Final bout he faced with Bangaluru fighter and lost the Gold.

His Coach Deepak Rai told from Mumbai this morning that Taluk Hilli can do much better in next National Super Fight League owned by Jhon Abraham.

Taluk could keep a relentless pace that is not common for such big guys. While his opponents may be huffing and puffing, he was able to recover between rounds and move like a guy that should be in a lighter weight class.

How fortunate is that! With these experiences, there is no surprise that his grappling, locking and powerful kicks skills is a major part of his success, Shi-Yomi District Olympic Association president Aling Pinggam said.

Looking into his background, he is black belt in Taekwondo and got the Mixed Martial Arts training under Maria Yabu and Deepak Rai in Bangalore.

“I am thankful to Mixed Martial Arts Federation of Arunachal (MMAFA) for encouraging me and all credit goes to Meme Maria and my coach”, said Taluk Hilli.
