Arunachal: APPSCC Examination-2018 continue amid protest by aspirants on second day

The Main examination of the APPSCCE continued on the  second day amid the protest  and boycotting by the qualified aspirants .

The Main examination of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) continued on the  second day amid the protest by the qualified aspirants who have been boycotting the Main examination.

According to the source out of 1339 aspirants around 899 candidates appeared in both King Cup Public School and at APPSC center on Saturday reduced lesser today on the second day.

The candidates resolve to boycott the ongoing examination together, as the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) on Friday night has notified to conduct the said examination according to scheduled date from 10 – 20 November.

Today around three hundreds aspirants gathered nearby the APPSC Main centre at ESS Sector and sit on dharna and continue to protest till late evening. They were holding banners, placards and shouting slogans against the  APPSC Chairman for not hearing of their demand for postponement of the examination, demanding intervention of Chief Minister Pema Khandu in the fiasco.

The capital police sources said that all the road leading to the examination centre have been sealed and no body other than candidate who are willing to go for examination are being allowed to enter the restricted area.

APPSC Secretary Taru Talo inform this correspondent that ‘we have no objection to all those aspirants who want to appear the examination, on Saturday 899 appeared at both centre at APPSC Examination Hall and at Kingcub Public School out of total 1339 candidates.

Today 471 candidate appeared at Main centre while 174 at King cub School centre and a total of 645 appeared in morning hours while 463 appeared at Main centre while 174 and a total of 637 candidates appeared at King cub School centre in afternoon.

Taru said that the examination shall continue to be held on November 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 November respectively while there are gap on November 12 and 14 respectively.

The entire chaos and confusion among the aspiring candidates erupted when the High Court on Friday last had given a verdict stating that examination to be conducted as per the scheduled but result to be keep in sealed cover which would be subjected to outcome of the writ petition filed by other group of petitioners.
