Arunachal: ANSU threatens mass movement in favour of their demand

Reiterating immediate fulfilment of its long pending 6 points charter of demands, the All Nyishi students union (ANSU) on Monday cautioned state Government that it will launch mass movement or even resort  to capital bandh if deteriorating education scenario in Nyishi inhabited areas will not address within stipulated time.

The ANSU has been demanding the government to fill all Govt aided schools with required subject’s teachers (TGTs and PGTs) including principal, headmasters at various upgraded schools in Nyishi inhabited districts.

While alleging that despite announcement of up- gradation through gazette notification many schools remains in same pathetic condition as it was earlier.

some of those schools are  Govt higher secondary school at , Pampoli at East Kameng, Lower Subansiri, Chayanagtajo, Ligu( Upper Subansiri)  etc  and few middle schools  such as Govt, secondary Schools at Mani, Papumpare, Basarnallo (Papumpare),Pistana( Lower Subansiri),Sarli (Kurung Kumey) etc  were  upgraded in 2009 but government yet to provide  sufficient teachers and infrastructure .

To provide regular mid day meal including textbooks and other basic amenities such as desk, benches, uniforms, timely disbursement of salary of SSA/RMSA teachers including student stipends

ANSU General Secretary Tukbom Ligu  while referring to poor  performance of students in recently declared CBSE X and XII-2018 results lamented that worst  affected is the schools in Nyishi belts.

He categorically blamed poor policies adopted by education department for the reason behind the dismal performance of students in CBSE examination.

Earlier, in july 7,  2017 last a  memorandum was  submitted  to the education minister by All Nyshi Students union regarding the problems of educational scenario of nyshi inhabitant districts. The education minister assured to apprise  chief minister and to Dy. CM,  for immediate solution of the problems but no resolution have been made and implemented till today.

However the media team when contacted the APPSC about the advertisement for appointment of the post of PGT & TGT , the commission have replied , they  advertise within a week.
