The program was attended by Capt. Subhash, 4th Sikh Regiment, camp Longding. N.L. Naam, CO Ldg. and  Manlem Wangsu, president LDSU.

The total number of aspirant registered through Online Registration for the Indian army recruitment rally were 111 from Longding district. But only 87 candidates turn out for the journey.

The enthusiasm shown by the youth to join Indian army is most encouraging, considering the fact that it is the most insurgency infested district in state. It is also for the first time that district administration and 4th Sikh regiment has equally shown interest to help our youths for the recruitment rally.

While the 4th Sikh Regiment has help our boys in registration and screening of eligible candidates, the district administration led by V S Malik Deputy Commissioner Longding sanction Rs 50,000/- for journey expenses.

‘I almost give up going for the rally, as my poor parents could not afford to give my journey expenditure. I have only Rs 2000 in my pocket. But thanks to our DC sir who has arrange transportation for us. If I get selected, I will be thankful to DC sir for my entire life’. Said one of the candidate.
