Arunachal: ACA announces state cricket team for Ranji Trophy

ACA  Ranji Trophy Selection Committee has announced the 15-member state cricket team for upcoming Ranji trophy.

The Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA) Ranji Trophy Selection Committee has announced the 15-member state cricket team which will represent the hill state in the upcoming Ranji trophy.

This is the historic day as the state will be taking part in the Ranji Trophy of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the first time.

The team members are: Kamsha Yangfo, Indiya Toku, Techi Doria, Licha Tehi, Neelam Obi, Techi Tahin, Akhilesh Sahani, Sandeep Kumar Thakur, Md Shoyeb, Subhash Sharma, Prateek Singh, Akash Singh, Samarth Sharma, Kshitiz Sharma and Hayat Ansari.

Arunachal will play its first match against Meghalaya on November 1.

Earlier on Monday, Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA) President and former chief minister Nabam Tuki interacted with the senior players and officials of the ACA here at a private hotel .

He was accompanied by Secretary Tado Kholi and its vice president T C Tok.

During his short speech, He also congratulated the recent players of the Vijay Hazare trophy who represented the state in Gujarat. He also encouraged them and assured for all possible support.

Tuki also assured the players that the state will soon have its own cricket play ground. Earlier the team has won against Sikkim and Mizoram in the said tournament.
