All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport federation (AAPPTF) today organise mass awareness on road safety and traffic and carried out procession and road show in capital complex.
The road show and awareness programme was held with support of several youth organisation and youth leaders of capital complex.
The rally was flagged off by the Parliamentary Secretary PWD, UD and ULB and local MLA Techi Kaso near Tago Memorial Hospital early this morning.
Addressing the gathering Kaso said that it is our responsibility to use the road in proper way by following several traffic rules and regulation so that there is no traffic congesant. Parents should ensure that children without driving license are not allowed to drive the vehicle.
Many accidents have been seen only to negligence and rash driving or person with influence of alcohol and mostly are fatal due to not having seat belt, helmet and use of dipper.
He said a revolution is traffic rule is needed and the mindset among the people is urgently required for safety and security of the people.
AAPPTF President while said that since our organization is directly attached with the public transport and road users and it is our endeavour to organise such awareness programme which is in the interest of the common people for its safety and security which need to be taken while on wheel and even to all those who use the road for their convenience.
Sonam said that our main motto is for safety of the drivers and vehicle owners and appeal to have precautionary measures like wearing of helmet by all two wheelers, wearing of seat belt while driving, using of dipper at night, always travel in left side of road without disturbing to others and park the vehicle at a considerable distance without disturbing the free flow of the traffic movement and appeal to obey traffic rules.
AAPPTF Vice President and today organising committee Chairman Tagio Sonam, All Naharlagun Youth Association leader Talo Sonam among other address the gathering at different location of the capital complex which include Naharlagun Market area and Ganga Market area for mass awareness.
Pamphlets and leaflets were also distributed to the drivers and owners of the vehicles on the stretch of the road from Nirjuli to Ganga during the road show.
