Arunachal : 96 member from Anini Constituency joins BJP

Chief Minister Pema Khandu today welcomed the joining of 96 members from Anini Assembly constituency of Arunachal Pradesh to BJP party during a public meeting here.

The newly joined members included Zilla Parishad Chairperson Dipen Molo along with Anchal Chairperson, Anini block, 2 ASMs, 2 GPCs and two GPMs. Also several former panchayat leaders and public leaders joined the BJP party in large number.

Present on the occasion were State BJP President Tapir Gao, Art & Culture Minister Dr Mohesh Chai, Tourism Parliamentary Secretary PD Sona, Planning Parliamentary Secretary Zingnu Namchoom, local MLA Rajesh Tacho and former Lok Sabha MP Laeta Umbrey.

The Chief Minister in his address said Anini is gifted with natural beauty that has landscape similar to Tawang and Mechuka. He said for tourism to make progress in Anini, it needs good connectivity and assured to expedite the construction of 2-lane Roing-Anini highway.

On memorandum submitted by the local public, the Chief Minister assured to take on priority for hospital building, 100-bedded boys hostel and a multipurpose hall. He further assured that all infrastructures requirements for health and education sector will be taken on priority and urged that all development schemes be brought through district planning board.

Informing on state government’s achievements, Khandu said priority for education and health sector is being delivered practically not merely on lip service. He said in one go state govt has created 1300 posts in education, out of which 1022 are posts for subject teachers. He said 357 posts of TGT/PGT are created to fill on promotion basis and 665 posts through direct recruitment.

Khandu said recruitment of Group A and B posts are being strictly held through APPSC. He said this has enabled fair chance for every community, particularly the smaller communities in Arunachal to get into govt service, which earlier were held by those who held clout in government machinery.

On recruitment of Group C, the Chief Minister informed that state government has decided to handover recruitment process to third party agency doing away with departmental recruitment so that the process is held in free and fair manner.

In health sector, the Chief Minister informed that 208 posts have been created for specialists and 108 for GDMO for which recruitment process has already started. On recruitment for specialists, Khandu informed that 74 posts have been filled through promotion by GDMOs with specialist degree. Rest 134 will be filled through recruitment.

However, Khandu observed that not many applicants are available for specialists. Therefore to meet up these gaps, he informed that state government through UNO has tied up with Ekam, an NGO working in health sector to posts specialist doctors in the state.  The Chief Minister hoped that soon shortages of doctors and specialists in all govt hospitals will be met.

Speaking on budget, the Chief Minister said that for its successful implementation, role of officers becomes very important. He informed that exercises have already begun for its implementation by conducting workshops and consultations with legislators and officers.

 The Chief Minister informed that state government has no dearth of funds today since for two consecutive financial years, the state budget has witnessed no deficit. He said collection of state own resources have increased by 26% and that’s why the state government is able to create more than 5000 jobs and able to implement 7th CPC.
