The Protection Force of Kamlang Wild Life Sanctuary during their routine patrolling apprehended 5 (five) person, including 2 Myanmar nationals from the inside the Sanctuary beyond Glow Lake of Wakro in Lohit district.

According to PS Wakro sources, Avard Singh Rawat Ranger KWLS and his team detained them from the dense jungle on 1st July 2019 and handed over to the police.

Among the arrested Jetes Lisu (24) Timuk Hai Lisu (40) are Myanmar national however Ngualisa Yobin (16) Ngasabo Yobin (24) and Ngwadini Lisu (25) are from Vijaynagar in Changlang district.

Over 50 (fifty) Kg of Mishmi Takin meat, Wild Paris Phyllia (Katchu), 10 numbers Live Cartridge , 5 number fired empty cartridge, 25 numbers Bird traps, Cell Phone, one Myanmar made Rifle also seized from their possession.

Two Burmese were later brought to the Superintendent of Police office for interrogation. Where Special Bureau (SB) of Arunachal Pradesh Police and SIB had cross-examination to authenticate their motive of intrusion.

“After interrogation we came to know that these Burmese accompanied their relative of Vijaynagar in search of Paris Polyphylla (an important member of this genus can be truly called ‘jack of all trades’ with its properties of curing a number of diseases) which has high price in international market.

Meanwhile  both Myanmaris nationals booked  under foreigner Act and law will take its own course to repatriate them”, informs DW Thungon SP Lohit.
