Arunachal: 3 children death case in Chirang Firing Range, case registered

Case registered on death of 3 children due to explosion of a mortar at  Chirang firing range, Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.

In a dreadful incident 2 (two) girl child and one (1) male child identified as Anisha Krong (10) daughter of Bathengso Krong, Riya Krong (8) daughter of Sobung Krong, Human Krong (2) years son of Shivso krong were brutally died after an unexploded mortar exploded in the Indian Army’s Chirang firing range in Anjaw district on 24th Nov.

Sources said that Indian Army’s has been exercising mortar firing in the huge area at Chirang Firing Range 12 Km before Hayuliang. Though the army issued a standing prohibitory notice against civilian movement and erected sign board near the firing range, their negligence has apparently been exposed as there is reportedly no fencing around the firing range.

“The police have registered an unnatural death case, under 304 IPC against Indian Army and the matter is under investigation. The tragedy is hurting most. I pray the almighty god to bestow enough strength to those bereaved parents in order to overcome the irreparable lost of precious lives”, condoles Dagbom Riba DC Anjaw.

Meanwhile, Its needs to be mentioned here that same tragedy was arisen at Ballaliang firing range in Lohit district on 8th August 2018 last. When a man identified as Bapianglum Tailu (51) died after an unexploded mortar exploded in the Indian Army’s bombing site.
