Arunachal- 2 Assam Rifles Jawan killed in encounter with NSCN-K terrorists in Changlang

There was a encounter between Assam Rifles Jawans and Cadres of NSCN(K) militant group  in Jairampur area of Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, bordering Assam.

As per the initial report,  two Jawns of  Assam Rifles were killed in exchange of fire with militants. and one  Assam Rifles vehicles was ambushed by the militants this morning. There was also a report of Multiple Grenade blast by the militants .

It must be mentioned here that the on that area Pangsau Pass winter festival is going on in that area. There is report that thousand of tourists and visitors are stuck up on NH-153 between Nampong in Chnaglong district of Arunachal Pradesh and  Jagun in Assam following the encounter.

As per the source , During the encounter militant used grenade and IED .

Meanwhile the entire area has been cordoned off with combing operations stepped up in the area and tourists are stranded along the highway.
