Arunachal: 2 arrested by Assam police on Passenger Vehicle attacked case

Two persons were arrested today by Dhemaji police ( Assam )  in connection with a passenger vehicle plying between Itanagar and Pasighat was attacked by some people at Dhemaji town market, Assam on the National Highway on Monday evening.  

The vehicle was coming from Itanagar toward Pasighat in the morning when some persons attacked the driver and also damaged a portion of window for no valid reason, informed the passenger in the vehicle who said were very worried seeing the unpleasant scene.  The reason is said to be for simply blowing of horn as Dhemaji market is often jammed. Driver of the vehicle was beaten and assaulted by the unruly people and window of the vehicle was hit and damaged due to which broken window glasses into pieces hit the passengers also leading to creation of chaos among the women passengers.

A video clip of the incident goes viral in social media, after that the Adi Mising Baane Kebang (AMBK) swung into action and appealed its Assam wing, Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK)  to initiate steps in connection with the case. Later Dhemaji police escorted the passenger loaded vehicle up to Jonai near Assam-Arunachal boundary as a safety step.

The Adi Mising Baane Kebang,  Adi Baane Kebang,  Takam Mising Porin Kebang,  All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union and several other organizations have strongly condemned the incident.
