In a mass joining programme 145 Indian National Congress workers joined BJP in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday. The programme was held at Lower Jumi under Kakoi Circle of Papum Pare District .
In this programme several PRI members and congress workers of the area joined the BJP in presence of Papum Pare District BJP President Tana Hali Tara and 14 Doimukh Mandal President Ngurang Tayo and several other BJP leaders of Mandal, District and state.
The prominent among them are former APYC Secretary Teli Nanu, former City Youth Congress President Kipa Niba, Kakoi ASM Nabam Yarak, Lower Jumi ASM Bamang Yalar, Lower Jumi GPMC Bamang Taniang and other GPM of Kakoi and Lower Jumi Panchayat segment
Addressing the huge gathering District BJP President Tana Hali Tara said that the saffron brigade is getting stronger day by day and all these are due to the good governance and popularity of central leadership and state BJP leadership Tapir Gao and others. He confirmed the joining of all the new comers and appeal them to work hard for the development of the area and party at grassroots level.
several other leaders also address the gathering and lauded the works initiated by the elected representative and local MLA Nabam Rebia and also sought support from the party high command in all-round development of the Kakoi circle under BJP rule.
Youth leader Teli Nanu while addressing the media said that he have excepted the ideology of the BJP and will work as per the party rule and regulation. He said that his main motto of joining the saffron brigade to carry forward several schemes and policy of government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Minister Nabam Rebia and party leaders in the new created Kakoi Zila Segment.
The day long programme witness several cultural performances by all indigenous and other community residing in the circle and adjoining area of Assam which include Nyishi, Nepali, Mising, Adibasis , Assamese and other.
