Indian Army apprehended two Terrorist belonging National Democratic Front of Bodoland(S) and Muslim Tiger Force of Assam .
Based on specific information, Army and Kokrajhar police launched a joint operation in general area of Kachugaonin Kokrajhar district in the wee hours of 7 Apr. During the operation one hardcore National Democratic Front of Bodoland(S) terrorist was apprehended and identified as RajuMushahary @ Rajesh Mushahary.
Rajesh is a 35th batch NDFB(S) terrorist, trained in Arunachal Pradesh. He was actively involved in extortion, arms peddling, recruitment of terrorists and providing logistic support to the banned terrorist organisation. One 7.65mm Pistol with magazine, few live rounds of ammunition and one hand grenade was recovered from the individual.
In the other case, the Indian Army launched a joint search operation with Dhubri police in the afternoon of 6 Apr in general area of Rupsi near Basbari in Dhubri district. The joint team established a mobile check post (MCP) on road Rupsi-Basbari and apprehended one Muslim Tiger Force of Assam terrorist , who was identified as Mohd Sahidul Islam Miah. One 7.65 mm Pistol, few live rounds, MTFA demand notes, an Alto car and other warlike stores were recovered from the individual. The apprehended terrorist was carrying out extortion’s in the area on a regular basis.
The Army is carrying out extensive area domination both by day and night to avert any mishap which may occur in the run up to elections and this apprehension ahead of the upcoming polls is a major boost in the effort towards the peaceful conduct of elections.
