Army Apprehended KLO and NDFB(S) Cadres from Lower Assam

Army apprehended KLO and NDFB(S) Cadres from to different locations of Lower Assam. Based on specific input, troops of the Red Horns Division under Gajraj Corps and the Assam Police launched an operation in the early morning hours on Thursday at Kokrajhar district. During the operation, the joint team laid a cordon around the suspected house and apprehended two terrorists of the banned NDFB (S) .The apprehended individuals were identified as Jatan rabha age 30 years and Meenuti Rabha age 19 years. One Rifle and some ammunition were recovered.
It may be recalled, troops of the Red Horns Division under Gajraj Corps and the Assam Police launched an operation in the evening hours of 04th May at Kokrajhar district. During the operation, the joint team laid a cordon around the suspected areas and apprehended three terrorists of the KLO (Kamtapur Liberation Organization). The apprehended individuals were identified as Amit Roy age 20 yrs, Nitai Roy, age 21 yrs and Hitesh Roy, age 20 yrs . One Rifle, two Pistols and amn was recovered from the terrorists.
Recovery of the weapon and apprehension of the terrorists is a major setback to the terrorist groups like NDFB(S) and KLO and will further diminish their capability to carry out subversive activities in the near future, thus maintaining peace and tranquillity in the region.
