APSCS&T participating in 5th international science festival at Kolkatta

The 5th India International Science Festival is being held from 5th Nov- 8th Nob 2019 in Biswa Bangla Convention Centre & Science City, Kolkata. The festival was inaugurated by Dr Harshavardhan, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

IISF was launched in 2015 with the objective of celebrating science and technology and demonstrating how science could lead India towards a developed nation.

 IISF 2019 is being organized by Ministry of Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, Health and Family Welfare in association with Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA).

The festival is witnessing participation of various leading institutes and organization of the country like DRDO, CSIR, DST amongst others.

Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology (APSCS&T ) is also participating in the festival demonstrating various activities of the council which includes work of DBT-APSCS&T CoE of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Kimin, Science Centre and Patent Information Centre.

Team Arunachal Pradesh was represented by Bamang Apo, Scientist-D, Tenzin Sherap, Scientist-B, Terpo Ronya, Scientist-B, Dr Pankaj Bhairali, Scientist-B, Dunyak Ado, Scientist-B and Dr Vivek Kumar, Curator, Science Centre.

The four day program includes various activities like exhibition stalls, conclaves, oral & poster presentation and screening of science movies.
