Anshu Jamsenpa’s 5th Everest Summit likely in a day or twoIn a press statement Anshu Jamsenpa’s camp Manager stated, ‘We are happy to share with the nation that Anshu is attempting double ascent as planned. At the Everest Base Camp she was given go ahead after the officials and doctors on examination found her fit to carry on with the expedition. He further stated that the weather is conducive and he is hopeful of Anshu Jamsenpa’s successful summit in next two days time.

Yesterday morning she started her second summit attempt having already summitted Mt Everest on 16th last at 9 am. She has climbed almost nonstop from Everest Base Camp (17500 ft) to South Col (262011 ft) by passing several higher camps en-route. Tonight around 10 pm she will continue climbing for the final summit push and weather  permitting she would be able to reach the top of the world (29035 ft) for a record fifth time.

She is energised and fully motivated to complete this summit in shortest possible time. She will better her own record, if she successfully completes this feat and will be only Indian women mountaineer in the world to do so.

‘My only aim now is unfurl the national flag once again atop Mt. Everest and pay homage to lord Buddha. I seek blessings and support from my fellow countrymen’, Anshu was quoted saying by her PR Manager here in Guwahati.

Back home in Arunachal Pradesh and rest of North East prayers have been organised in several monasteries and temples while rest of the nation is celebrating her courage, determination and gusto. Congratulatory messages have reached us from CMs & Governors and Union Minister’s office and several other high dignitaries across the nation. Media has carried the stories in a motivational way encouraging the lady mountaineer. All she now needs is our blessings, prayers and support says Tsering Wange her husband and president of All Arunachal Mountaineering and Adventure Sports Association.
