Agri-horti sector is most prosperous avenue in Arunachal Pradesh- DC Kra Daadi

Interacting the farmers DC Kra Daadi district, Pige Ligu said that agri-horti sector are the most prosperous avenue in Arunachal Pradesh.


Deputy Commissioner Kra Daadi district Pige Ligu inspected several ongoing scheme and project in Yangte Circle with HODs and other officials .

Ligu while interacting the local farmers and progressive farmers of the area said that agri-horti sector are the most prosperous avenue in Arunachal Pradesh and it will benefit maximum number of people unlike contractual work.

He advices the farmers to form cooperative society and to diversify their crops. Training and exposure trips to augment their knowledge will enhance the farmers knowledge and assured support in this regard.

He expressed his satisfaction on the land terracing work undertaken by agriculture department under SADA and urged them to provide irrigation facilities under PMKSY.

He directed the officers and officials accompanied him to have regular field visit to inspect and monitor the projects executed in the field and at the same time to knows the difficulties face at the grass root

He also inspected the ongoing formation cutting work of Trans Arunachal highway at Meer. Later, the team inspected the Land Terracing work under SADA 2017-18 executed by the agriculture department at Niringha village under Yangte Circle. 20 beneficiaries avail of the scheme for cultivation of rice.

The team of officers also interacted with the farmers and also inspected the garden of Biri Mangju, a progressive farmer of the area, who has cultivated Tea, Large Cardamom, Maize, Rice, Orange, Banana and Local vegetables etc in his 5.2 hectares of land.

DC also distributed water lifting devices to the beneficiaries under PMKSY.

Along with DC, the team comprises of Tana Teti (DDA), Khyoda Teri (ADA), Tojo Basar (ADO) Hq and Circle Officers of Yangte and Chambang.
